I was approached by islington Council to make their Green Travel Map family friendly and playful in style. Through discussion with the client we decided that a cartoon-like approach would help achieve this aim. I went away and dreamt up a character called Wheelie an embodiment of walking and cycling who guides the reader through the information in the map. The client was extremely pleased with the result and the maps flew out of the libraries and public buildings in which they were stocked. Click the arrow to the right to see the artwork unfolded.
